Job Description
Provides evidence-based remote education, anticipatory guidance, and care for the breastfeeding dyad across the peripartum continuum. Operates independently, is simultaneously thorough and efficient, appreciates collaboration and works well on a team. Identifies issues requiring specialist referral and escalates concerns appropriately.
This role primarily performs direct patient care in the form of comprehensive preventive and acute care lactation consults (prenatal and postpartum). The IBCLC will also be responsible for consult preparation, chart completion per Nest’s charting standards, sending referral letters to dyad’s primary care providers, and delegating scheduling as appropriate, and completing follow up with clients per Nest’s proprietary preventive care model and as appropriate for acute care clients.
The successful candidate must be able to commit to a minimum of 16-20 hours (8-10 appointments and related documentation per week). Nest IBCLCs may also provide more availability. Preference will be given to those with flexible schedules and the ability to assist regularly on evenings and weekends.

Working Hours: Nest Collaborative is open seven days a week. This position requires a minimum 16-20 hours/week (8-10 appointment slots). Slots include preparation, the face-to-face visit, rebooking, documentation, referrals, and any escalation necessary. Applicants may offer additional times outside of posted slots once this requirement is met.
